Creative Regulation Groups
Movement-based group experiences for connection, focus, and emotional regulation
Creative Regulation Groups at Flow Wellness offer structured, movement-based experiences designed to support emotional regulation, physical engagement, and social connection in a non-clinical, supportive environment.
These groups integrate gentle movement, rhythm, and creative expression to help participants reconnect with their bodies, improve coordination, and experience a sense of belonging and accomplishment.
All groups are adaptable, choice-based, and accessible to a wide range of abilities.
The Approach
Creative Regulation Groups are guided experiences that:
Encourage present-moment awareness
Support nervous system regulation through rhythm and movement
Foster group connection and shared participation
Emphasize accessibility, dignity, and choice
Participants are invited to engage at their own pace, with options for seated or standing participation depending on the group.
Group Offerings
Dance Therapy (Salsa-Inspired Movement)
This movement-based group uses simple salsa-inspired steps to guide participants in noticing how their feet, legs, and arms move through space.
The focus is on:
Concentration and body awareness
Coordination and physical engagement
Enjoyment of rhythmic movement
Participants are encouraged to explore movement in a supportive, non-judgmental environment where the emphasis is on experience rather than performance.

Disco for Divas is an upbeat, inclusive dance experience inspired by classic disco movements such as the hustle, the bump, and the electric slide.
This group supports:
Coordination and rhythm
Walking patterns, including backward movement
Cardiovascular engagement in a fun, accessible way
Movements are adapted to meet participants where they are, creating a lively and encouraging space for all skill levels.

Participants may choose to work:
On a mat
In a chair
The session includes:
Simple, effective stretches
Guided pacing and breath awareness
A concluding “rocking baby”–inspired movement to promote relaxation
Modifications are offered throughout. The session structure also supports autonomy, responsibility, and group cooperation in shared spaces.
Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga offers gentle, seated movement designed to improve flexibility, body awareness, and relaxation.
This group focuses on:
Slow, intentional stretches
Mindful breathing
Nervous system regulation through steady, supported movement
All movements are performed seated, with options to adjust range of motion based on comfort, fatigue, balance, or mobility needs. The session concludes with a seated, rocking movement inspired by “rocking baby” to help release tension and promote calm.
Country Line Dance / Boots to the Ground
This group uses simple, rhythmic line-dance patterns to foster connection, confidence, and shared enjoyment.
Participants move together in:
Repetitive, easy-to-follow steps
Gentle patterns designed for accessibility
The emphasis is on community, rhythm, and participation — creating a welcoming environment where connection happens naturally through movement.
